Today, community-level declarations against the practice have been successfully achieved in Nigeria through collaboration with stakeholders and influencers in local communities. The work of Circuit Pointe as contained in this report highlights its multi-pronged approach to educating, advocating and supporting girls, women and communities affected by the degrading practice which aims for social acceptance rather than any overlying health or other valid reason.
